Does Compression Reduce Image Quality?
Image compression is a trade-off between file size and image data. DigiSadhan's Smart mode starts with high quality and searches for an efficient result rather than simply applying an aggressive fixed setting. The tool also lets you choose Lossless / Minimum Processing when preserving image information is more important than achieving the smallest possible file.
Important: no lossy compressor can guarantee zero quality loss while also guaranteeing a specific smaller file size. PNG can remain lossless, while JPG and WebP lossy exports may change pixels. Always inspect the downloaded result when exact visual fidelity is important.
PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF and WebP
PNG is useful for transparency and graphics. JPG/JPEG is commonly used for photographs. WebP can provide efficient web delivery. GIF is useful for simple animation and legacy compatibility. When converting formats, the best choice depends on the image and where it will be used.
Privacy
The core compressor is designed to process selected images in your browser. Files are not intentionally uploaded to a DigiSadhan compression server by this page. External libraries used for ZIP/GIF support are loaded from their public CDNs.
