Lean Body Mass Calculator: Complete Guide

Lean body mass (LBM) is an estimate of the portion of your total body weight that is not stored body fat. It includes skeletal muscle, smooth muscle, bones, organs, connective tissues, blood and body water. In everyday fitness language, people sometimes use “lean mass” to mean muscle, but that is not technically correct. Boer formula

The Boer equation estimates LBM from body weight and height using sex-specific coefficients. For men: LBM = 0.407W + 0.267H − 19.2. Direct LBM from known body fat
