Compound Interest Formula
Here, A represents the final amount, P represents the principal, r is the annual rate of interest in percent and n is the number of years when interest is compounded annually.
Compound interest is obtained by subtracting the original principal from the final amount. Students should carefully identify whether a question asks for the amount or the compound interest; these are not the same value.
